Paulina Caramando-  Sicily

After arriving in America, Paulina and her family settled in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where her father became a railroad worker.  Paulina married an Italian plasterer and had two sons, both of whom eventually died from AIDS.  After her sons passed away, she moved to New Hampshire.  "I always say thank God my father decided to come ehre because during World War II our house in Sicily was bomed.  One of my cousins and three of her children were killed.  My went in and found them in pieces."
